The United States of America (US, or USA) is a nation state in North America, and is one of the most powerful countries in the world, in terms of politics and economics.

Currently, the US is run by the George W. Bush Administration, which has a terrible record on environmental issues, as well as social justice issues. The Bush administration started the Iraq War in 2003, alledgedly due to Iraq trying to build massive weapons of destruction (as opposed to weapons of creation), but more likely to fortify US oil interests in the middle east.

The US is a geographically diverse country, spanning from the tropics to well into the northern temperate zone, and has every major type of ecosystem, from deserts to rainforests. The country stretches from the western pacific coast to the atlantic on the east.
