Rudd government
From Envirowiki
The Rudd government is the incumbent Australian government (2007 November - now). The government is a Labor Party Government, and is led by Kevin Rudd, and is somewhat less socially conservative than the previous Howard government, and slightly less neoliberal with their economics.
[edit] 1 Acts since coming into power
The first act of the Rudd government was to sign the instruments of ratification of the kyoto protocol. Since then, the Labor commissioned Garnaut Climate Change Review has been released, and the Government has put out a green paper on a proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme.
In February 2008, Kevin Rudd apologised to the stolen generation of Indigenous Australians for being taken from their families by government agencies, something the previous government had steadfastly refused to do.
