The Hunter Valley Coal Chain is the path that Hunter Valley coal takes from the mine to the export terminal at Newcastle, Australia. The Coal Chain includes numerous mines in the Hunter, the road and rail links, and the Coal Export Terminals at Newcastle.

The Hunter Valley Coal Chain (HVCC) is currently resposible for the export of 80 million tonnes of thermal coal for export, as well as another 20+^{[reference needed]} million tonnes of thermal coal for NSW domestic consumption.
