Envirowiki, being a wiki, will become more useful as it gets more users, and that will feedback into making envirowiki more useful. The hard part is getting a few dedicated contributors at the start, to flesh it out a bit to attract other users. That's where promotion comes in, and you can help!

Links to envirowiki from other sites will benefit envirowiki by bringing more readers and potential contributors. It also helps by increasing envirowiki's rank on major search engines, like google, which in turn, brings more people in.
Linking to specific articles is also a good idea, as this increases the rank for that page, and brings it to the top for more specific searches.
Creating pages on relevant topics that have high demand, and aren't available elsewhere can massively increase envirowiki's chance of being found on google, or other search engines. For example, try searching google for "carbon capture and storage australia".

You're also welcome to make you own buttons, as the logo is released under the GFDL.

Tell people about the site, and give them the web address! Tell people at your environment group that they can use it to store and share information about their campaigns.
Even better, email them with a direct link. If they are working in a specific area, send them a link to that page. If they already know a bit about how wikis work, send them a blank page, so they can start it. Send it out on e-lists too, and get lots of people at once!
There's a promotional flier which you can use at File:EnvirowikiflierJuly08-4up-joined.pdf. You might be able to edit it with [1], too.
